The beach itself is huge so you're going to find plenty of room

Having a summer holiday in the UK
By staying in the UK you can enjoy a wonderful beach holiday, a country
retreat or an amazingly busy city break packed with theatre, museums and
gallery trips.
If you're after a city break then the big cities such as London and Manchester
scream out for attention as does Edinburgh. For country retreats you can
pick virtually any part of the countryside to find wonderful scenery,
amazing places to visit and historic monuments to stand in awe of. The
UK being a island means there's a huge amount of coastline available and
you're never very far from it.
Staying in the UK for your main summer break can mean taking risk on
the weather - but when the UK is sunny and warm it's as pretty as anywhere
and if you find the baking heat of some foreign countries a bit stifling
you'll enjoy the summer in the UK. For a beach holiday you will probably
wish for plenty of sunshine - so be prepared top be flexible and watch
the weather reports so you can amend any planned visits to make the most
of the sun and spend the day on the beach. Booking for summer school holidays
should give you more of a chance of sunshine and good weather.
When it rains make the most of the museums and historic buildings that
you can visit, or take a couple of hours shopping away from the rain.
One of the good things about holiday parks like Haven is that they have
plenty of things to do indoors as well as outside activities. As long
as you've got a rain coat you can brave the weather anyway - whether you're
up for sitting on the beach in coats is up to personal choice, but we've
done it many times - on holidays and on day trips. The beach is a great
place to be and digging keeps you warm too!
Stop worrying about the weather and just get on with your holiday! Kids
never mind the rain and there are plenty of places to go and see inside
at most UK holiday resorts.
A little preplanning or a visit to the tourist information office will
find you a huge list of things to do, including organised tours to nearby
locations. These can be a replaxing way of exploring - letting somenen
else do the driving and organising.
If you're stuck for ideas ask at reception of the holiday park or at your
hotel. Virtually all staff will be gemmed up on what's good to do for
the day and what's available locally - even if it's only pointing you
to the bowling alley or cinema.
If you like visiting historic places when you're on holiday or during
the year you could investigate membership of the National Trust. This
gives you discounts or even free access to man properties as well as a
stunning guide book to locations around teh UK.
Holiday parks give you the flexibility of great accomodation and great
facilities. It's not like a hotel where you're all squashed in together,
there's normlly planetyof space aropund caravans and they're arranged
to give you privacy outside for a barbq or just sitting out. Haven's parks
are all neat and tidy - which makes them nice to stay on.
