The National railway
Museum,York. A huge museum with all the trains and history you could
possibly imagine. A wonderful museum and best of all it is free, one of
the few national museums in Yorkshire

Sewerby Park Attractive gardens overlooking the bay (also a childrens zoo and pitch and putt) with a stately house containing a small museum. Various events through the year attract large audiences. The home for a time of the Yorkshire heroine Amy Johnson, the aviator.
The Deep. This houses one of the worlds (never mind Yorkshire's) largest aquarium tanks in a stunning building on the banks of the Humber Estuary close to the centre of Hull and all the local museums.
Hull Museums. Several really good museums and (All free) with the unique chance to be taken on a guided tour around the Arctic Corsair one of the last of Hull's side-winder trawlers (not open every day so check and you may need to book and pay). If you visit the Maritime museum look out for a photo of our great grandfather peering out of the wheelhouse of his fishing boat.
Bridlington
Spa very large old theatre type venue that holds all sorts of concerts,
shows and events. One of the largest venues in Yorkshire.
