Greenacres
-Greenacres Holiday Park at Blackrock Sands features a heated
SplashZone, RopeWorks Adventure Course and fantastic evening
entertainment - plus direct access to a beautiful sandy
beach! The Snowdonia National Park forms a stunning backdrop
to your Greenacres holiday, making it a super location for
the Park facilities, luxury caravan accommodation and endless
activities for all ages. You'll love the excellent sweeping
beaches at Blackrock Sands - this resort simply has it all.
Greenacres Holiday Park is perfect for beach-lovers and
outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
The
beach at Black Rock sands is huge - its two miles long and
great for digging and making castles. You could easily spend
a whole week on the beach here - I know because we nearly
did! We went out for a couple of day trips to Criccieth
and Porthmadog and Portmerion, but the vast majority of
the time we spent on the beach. There is a stream running
to the sea and we dammed this several times and had great
fun doing so! There are shells on the beach to hunt
but very few rocks which makes it a nice place to walk without
shoes.
Greenacres park is great. Its got a good range of facilities
for small children and for bigger kids there are plenty
of activitys available including swimminmg and the amazing
climbing frame and pitch and putt.
The staff in the centre were all helpful and friendly. The
shop was clean and well stocked with all the essentials
and plenty of gifts and postcards for the folks back home.
The caravans are nicely laid out with plenty of room between
each for parking the car and sitting outside in the sunshine
and have bar-b-qs.
The club has evening entertainment for the kids and this
is great fun for everyone, plenty of games and shows to
keep the kids very amused and bingo earlier in the evening
for the mums and dads. The bar area is no-smoking and has
a separate stand for kids sweets and snacks.
The pitch and putt area was well maintained and you'll hear
the crickets in the rough! The local scenery is spectacular
and the mountains are the playground for RAF jets practising
so you'll get a bit of an airshow occaisionally during the
day, which we all really enjoyed watching them speed past.
As always Haven makes for a perfect beach holiday when
you're on a minutes walk from a huge beach. If you want
to be more active you can play pitch and putt or hire bikes.
Visit the surrounding area - you can climb mount Snowdon
- and take the train back down, or you can visit the nearby
castles and local towns and villages.
Port Merion of the Prisoner fame is nearby and is a ust
for fans of the show - its beautiful gardnes and you can
enjoy a picnic there or eat at one of the cafes.

What children think of Haven Holidays
My Holiday In Wales
At GREENACRES HOLIDAY PARK
By Jamie Norton
Part 1
:The holiday park
At Greenacres The is a Pitch 'n' Putt course I would give it a 8/10.
The maximun speed is at 10 mph.
Bins are about the park I dont think the staff would like pick up all
the litter so use the bins provided.
Some caravans have 3 bedrooms others 2 I was in a 3 bedroom one,5 swan
court.
The is a playground,a bowling green,a ropeworks (climbing and robe swinging
isnt my type of thing but I recomend you should try it if you like the
sound of it).
The is a swiming pool inside and outside, the is a games arcade I would
give it a 9/10 after that the's a show area with Bradley the Bear and
Polly Popkins and others.
The caravan has a tv a table, kitchen and my caravan had a gas cooker.
Part 2
:Food
The park has a shop but the place Has a Burger King A Burger King!!!!
I just love it id give it a 10/10.
The is a oasis bar not run by the band Oasis, they have a sunday night
roast a carvory and a Curry night which is on wednesdaythes a bar in the
show area.
Part 3
:The beach
The beach is called the Black Rock Sands and ill tell you why,a certain
rock that was black turned into sand the black sand whick i have a bottle
of it is best found diging in the wet sand area because you would have
to dig down a lot to get there, the are ice cream vans which sell my most
liked one the mint fest.
The was a tank on the beach on Thursday and a helicopter whitch I thought
was very MAD.
I would give it a 10/10
Part 4
:Criccieth castle
Its a castle ruined over time but it still has some wall and the arrow
holes also thes a dungen grid and the is money in it and dont go to near
to the edge or you may fall best to go if your good at walking the roads
are steep some cafes I'd give it a 9/10.
Part 5
:Port Meirion
The home of the prisoner the tv program I was thinking to shout "I
am not a number i am a free man"but I decided not to.
some cafes, ice cream places again more of a walk type thing but less than
Criccieth I would give it a 9/10
And with the whole place together 46/50
so that is very good so book a holiday in wales via holiday freebies.
(tip go via port madog).
And thats my report.
