Eden Project
One of England's most spectacular botanical gardens near St.Austell. Well known whereever you're from the domed glasshouses contain miracles of nature and well worth a visit.

Poldark Mine and Heritage Complex is in the Wendron Valley, Cornwall just 2 miles from Helston on the B3297. The park has a museum which holds artefacts chronicling tin mining at Poldark and Cornwall, there are machines spread over the park which include steam engines and a working waterwheel, there are craft workshops where you can learn woodturning, ceramic painting, pottery throwing and candlemaking and you can also go panning for gold. There is a children play area, cafe and gift shops. There is a guided tour through the mine which takes you down 100 feet and along narrow passages and if you take a postcard with you, you can have it specially stamped and post it from the mines post box which may be the only underground post box in the UK.
