From the moment you arrive at your chosen Haven Holiday park you'll feel your stress leave you. The parks are well laid out and you'll find reception easy to find, the staff welcoming and friendly. Let them know you've arrived and pick up your keys.

Letting yourself into your caravan will be a treat too - you'll find everything you need to have a great holiday in a Haven Caravan. If you have any problems with your caravan, or don't know how to work anything then get in touch with reception and they'll get it sorted straight away.

There are loads of holiday parks to pick from, all around the UK, so if you want to stay close to home, you can, or you can travel to the other end of the country.

The parks are well maintained with attractive play areas and areas separated off into their own lanes. You'll find peace and quiet and plenty of outside space around your holiday home so you can relax outside.

They have so much to do on the parks that you'll find the kids wanting to rush off straight away to explore - and you can let them explore the activities and facilities and make friends with other children on the campsite.

Whether you want a luxury caravan or a camping pitch for camping then you'll find it at Haven.

They offer everything you need for a UK based family holiday. They are based all around the UK and give you a huge choice of destinations, each offering something special.

A holiday park is purpose built with everything you need to give you a great holiday.

They allhave a central building housing all the entertainment and shops you need.

At Greenacres this building houses the reception where you can get any help you need, including help on finding things to do locally should you feel the need to venture off the site. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. When the reception desk closes you'll find that security are on hand to offer you any help you might need.

Inside too is a really well stocked shop so if you want to buy groceries on arrival you can. They have a good bakery, chilled section as well as frozen foods. They also sell some souveniers and beach wear products too.
There is also the restaurant, Burger King, bar and entertainment area. There are two main bar areas, once only for over 18s and the other is suitable for familys. They play loads of great activities all day and evening for the kids and grown ups to. There are shows and pantomines, bingo, games and prize games for the kids to join in.
If your kids love the beach then you can spend the day on the beach - its right on the site with one line of caravans being called Dune way as they're right next to the dunes. You'll see rabbits running round the dunes too at dusk as well as other wildlife. There's a wildlife tour available of the Dunes if your kids love insects and plants.
The beach itself is huge so you're going to find plenty of room to run, fly kites, play and dig castles. The sand is great for digging too! Cars are allowed on the beach but have to stick to one line of travel so the beach is still very safe for kids. There are also ice cream sellers on the beach which is just what you need on a hot sunny day. The water is good for paddling and swimming too!

Trips to various local attractions are also available allowing you to leave the car on site and take a bus trip with discounts too making them good value.
There is also a small golf course available - with equipment hire - this is great fun and the kids will enjoy it massively.

Having a summer holiday in the UK

By staying in the UK you can enjoy a wonderful beach holiday, a country retreat or an amazingly busy city break packed with theatre, museums and gallery trips.
If you're after a city break then the big cities such as London and Manchester scream out for attention as does Edinburgh. For country retreats you can pick virtually any part of the countryside to find wonderful scenery, amazing places to visit and historic monuments to stand in awe of. The UK being a island means there's a huge amount of coastline available and you're never very far from it.

Staying in the UK for your main summer break can mean taking risk on the weather - but when the UK is sunny and warm it's as pretty as anywhere and if you find the baking heat of some foreign countries a bit stifling you'll enjoy the summer in the UK. For a beach holiday you will probably wish for plenty of sunshine - so be prepared top be flexible and watch the weather reports so you can amend any planned visits to make the most of the sun and spend the day on the beach. Booking for summer school holidays should give you more of a chance of sunshine and good weather.
When it rains make the most of the museums and historic buildings that you can visit, or take a couple of hours shopping away from the rain. One of the good things about holiday parks like Haven is that they have plenty of things to do indoors as well as outside activities. As long as you've got a rain coat you can brave the weather anyway - whether you're up for sitting on the beach in coats is up to personal choice, but we've done it many times - on holidays and on day trips. The beach is a great place to be and digging keeps you warm too!
Stop worrying about the weather and just get on with your holiday! Kids never mind the rain and there are plenty of places to go and see inside at most UK holiday resorts.
A little preplanning or a visit to the tourist information office will find you a huge list of things to do, including organised tours to nearby locations. These can be a replaxing way of exploring - letting somenen else do the driving and organising.
If you're stuck for ideas ask at reception of the holiday park or at your hotel. Virtually all staff will be gemmed up on what's good to do for the day and what's available locally - even if it's only pointing you to the bowling alley or cinema.
If you like visiting historic places when you're on holiday or during the year you could investigate membership of the National Trust. This gives you discounts or even free access to man properties as well as a stunning guide book to locations around teh UK.

Holiday parks give you the flexibility of great accomodation and great facilities. It's not like a hotel where you're all squashed in together, there's normlly planetyof space aropund caravans and they're arranged to give you privacy outside for a barbq or just sitting out. Haven's parks are all neat and tidy - which makes them nice to stay on.
